Back to school

For myself, I cannot believe it is less then 3 weeks until I go back to college. So much to do to help prepae our homeless and at risk youth for their own back to school day. Sometimes school is the only safe and good place for them. They have access to food, a bathroom, adults who care about them and in many cases, look out for them.  They also face a lot of bullying since other kids don't understand why they are dirty, or dressed poorly. This is our biggest challenge, trying to bring awareness to teens, of the plights many of their brothers and sisters face. NOT TO JUDGE, NOT TO BULLY, but to have a heart that wants to understand and to help lift their sisters and brothers up who are in need. We not only need a lot of packpacks, school supplies, and emergency non perishable foods to stock those packpacks to help the afterschool and weekend hunger. PLEASE help us spread the word, NOT TO JUDGE, NOT TO BULLY, TO be compassionate and kind to your peers and to remember, that you don't know a thing about them until you have walked a mile in there shoes or barefoot in many of their cases! HELP us HELP THEM... Donate a packpack, some supplies or food but most importantly DONATE A SMILE... The gift that keeps on giving. Donate a pat on the back,  Donate understanding, patience and compassion for your peers. It could change their day, their world, their lives.

Human Trafficking awareness

We are going to help bring awareness the the horrible HUMAN TRAFFICKING problems in Las Vegas. Please help us make a difference to these young girls being rescued or needing to be rescued.

Baby It's cold outside!

Brrrr. It's getting cold. I saw a homeless boy curled up under the freeway overpass the other day. It was the sloped type of wall and I don't know how he was balancing himself there and sleeping! He wore a tshirt and ragged jeans. I was cold inside of the car. There are over 7000 teens like him on our streets and temps are goint to hit 30's and 40's in the next few days. PLEASE consider donating your beanies, scarves, mittens, coats, or join our blanket making events. 2 yards of fleece is all you need, and a little heart.

Winter wear

Tatiana and Siena helped me sort and they delivered  a ton of stuff for our homeless teens Monday night. So great to get help and to have these young girls, only 13, want to help their peers. I am sad that I don't have more involved in my own age group. Everyone gets excited to help and then too busy to do it. We all need to remember how much our peers need us just to survive and to feel that someone actually cares about them. Come on friends. make some time and make blankets with me! We need 100's of them.

High Salaries of charity execs!!!!

I was so upset when I read a report on BIG Charities! The salary these execs are bringing in is sickening! I use my allowance and whatever I can get donated by begging, pleading, heavy social media marketing etc., to feed, cloth and support homeless teens and my sister Works her butt off to fill urgent needs and to give support to at risk youth. Together we make $0! We spend $200-$300 of our own money a month. This is what CHARITY means. Not big business. This is also why I get mad when I see donation drop off structures in parking lots that just says "clothing recycle drop off!" No name of who it supports or names listed but the items go to stores where they are sold!  Don't give your donations to places that will sell them, or where you DO NOT KNOW who they will help. Get your stuff right onto the backs of teens and youth directly. They need us to help them fit in and to just survive.
